King Co. Repair Event
May 14, 2022 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Redmond Community Center @ Marymoor Village 6505 176th Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98052
Facebook event pages: https://www.facebook.com/events/947517289225683
***Sign up in advance. One item per person.***
To sign up or if you have questions, contact repair events coordinator Tom Watson email Tom Watson via e-mail or at 206-477-4481.
Covid safety precautions will be taken as needed and required.
At these events, we work on small household and personal items (including some electronics), as well as clothing and textiles. No lengthy reconstructive repairs. No major clothing alterations. No knife or tool sharpening.
We may decline to work on an item – in advance or at the event – depending on the item, the type of repair needed, the available fixers, or for other reasons. You may be asked to buy and bring specific parts needed for your repair.
For those who can afford it, we encourage you to instead patronize the many King County businesses offering repair services, when possible.
The King County repair events program plans to offer additional repair events in 2022. Info will be posted on here as those events are scheduled.
Other area organizations may offer their own separate repair events (aka repair cafés and other names), including remote, drop-off and virtual events. Those organizations include the South King Tool Library external link in Federal Way, Vashon MaKerSpace and Tool Libraryexternal link , Snohomish County WSU Extensionexternal link and Zero Waste Washingtonexternal link .
Thanks everyone for your support of repair events, which reduce waste and conserve resources!
